oficina impressão botánica

Nesta oficina vamos explorar a impressão botânica em tecido com folhas, ramos, cascas e especiarias. Aprenderemos a preparar mordentes ecológicos (ferro e alúmen), fixar pigmentos, criar composições, aplicar prensagem/enrolamento e reutilizar tecidos manchados.
Materiais incluídos, sendo possível trazer peças pequenas e claras de fibras naturais (algodão, linho, seda). No final, cada participante levará peças únicas e os princípios básicos desta técnica.

In this workshop we will explore botanical printing on fabric using leaves, branches, peels, and spices. Participants will learn how to prepare ecological mordants (iron and alum), fix pigments, create compositions, apply pressing/rolling techniques, and reuse stained textiles. Materials are included, but small light-colored pieces of natural fibers (cotton, linen, silk) may also be brought. By the end, each participant will take home unique pieces and the basic principles of this technique.

ISABEL BRISSOS

Isabel Brissos fez o Curso de Produção Artística na Escola Artística António Arroio, licenciou-se em Design de Moda na Faculdade de Arquitetura da Universidade de Lisboa, estudou Filosofia/Estética na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa e realizou formações em diversas áreas criativas tais como Multimédia e Biomateriais. Colaborou regularmente no atelier da artista têxtil Altina Martins entre 2008 e 2022. Figurinista de artes performativas, trabalhou com a Bestiário, Companhia Inestética, entre outros projetos. Explora o cruzamento de técnicas como a colagem, ilustração, desenho, bordados, tapeçaria, ecoprint/impressão botânica e escultura em biomateriais. Integra atualmente a equipa da Cortex Frontal.

Isabel Brissos completed the Artistic Production Course at the António Arroio Art School, earned a degree in Fashion Design at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, studied Philosophy/Aesthetics at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon, and undertook training in various creative fields such as Multimedia and Biomaterials. She collaborated regularly in the studio of textile artist Altina Martins between 2008 and 2022. As a costume designer for the performing arts, she worked with Bestiário, Companhia Inestética, among other projects. Her practice explores the intersection of techniques such as collage, illustration, drawing, embroidery, tapestry, eco-print/botanical printing, and sculpture in biomaterials. She is currently part of the Cortex Frontal team.
